Matthew McJunkin and Donald Collison founded Investigation & Protection Agency Inc. (IPA) eight years ago. The goal of these two gentlemen was to provide highly trained Security Officers and Private Investigators to their clients while upholding the highest hiring and training standards. They felt that every business and every individual person deserved to feel safe and secure.

IPA Investigations is a licensed provider though the state of Ohio for both Security and Investigation services. At first we primarily focused on Private Investigations…but after seeing the effects of September 11, IPA started looking deeper into the nation’s current state of private security. To our disappointment, we found that most of the security companies we encountered were not properly trained or prepared for the various types of situations they may encounter each and every day. As we started to look deeper into the reason for such poor conditions, we found that the primary problem lie in numbers. Many security companies were taking on more jobs than they could service, which in turn created an adverse affect on their quality of service, quality of employee, and professionalism. They had great difficulty finding intelligent, reliable, and properly trained security personnel to work at their jobs sites. IPA is devoted to Quality and not quantity. We believe in hiring only the very best, providing professional training, and demanding only the very highest standards in our Security Officers and Investigators. Most of our Officers are current or ex-law enforcement, current or ex-military, current or ex-FBI or other government agency, or simply awaiting placement for future law enforcement positions.
